The door to Trevor's diner opened more noisily than usual, causing the customers to look up. "Oh, lemme get the door for you, Drey" said Shayla, coming over to open the door for the huge polar bear in a black business suit who was trying to gain entrance, but was having trouble due to his wheelchair.
"Thank you," said the polar bear, grinning at Shayla. Dreysanius Acrutar was about 21 years old, and very wealthy. He'd inherited a large fortune from his parents, and had used it to set up a wrestling federation. Unfortunately, all the money in the world could not buy him the ability to walk, which he'd lost in a motorcycle accident when he was 18.
His clothes made him look like a fat bear, but underneath the expensive garment was a power lifter who often had punks who tried to pick on him begging for mercy in short order.
"So how are you doing?" he asked Shayla.
"Well, I'm living with Trevor right now. Our apartment burned down, and Cindy and I needed a place to stay."
"Ooo... Sorry to hear about your apartment, Shayla. Good to know you had somewhere to go." He grinned at Trevor. "So what's it like with two hot girls in the house?"
Trevor groaned. "Ugh. Don't ask. All that arguing is about to drive me crazy."
"Well, if Cindy wasn't such a bitch..." grumbled Shayla, and told Drey what Cindy had been putting her through lately. Drey nodded sympathetically, completely unfazed by Shayla's language, or what she was describing.
Trevor blinked. "Kinda surprised this hardly fazes you, Drey. I thought a rich boy like you would be squirming like crazy."
Drey snorted. "I have a lot of women in my federation, and I hear much. Besides, a lot of my neighbors live Lifestyles of the Rich and the Shameless. If people paid more attention to what goes on around them, rather than saying how peaceful their community is, the porn business would go broke."
Shayla laughed, as Drey asked for a coke and a half-dozen burgers.
The door opened again, and Shayla, Trevor, and the rest of the clientele groaned at the sight of the newcomer.
"Macho macho man! I wanna be a macho man!" It was hard to imagine a more inappropriate song for Wildwind Dandinson, a completely white mouse who was as girly as a guy could get without wearing a dress. He stood 5' tall, weighed a little over 100 lbs, and whenever he sang in a choir (which wasn't often), he was placed in the alto section.
Unfortunately for anyone in hearing distance of his rather impressive voice, "Macho Man" by the Village People was his all-time favorite song.
"Wildwind!" said Dreysanius. "How's the new job treating you?"
Wildwind grinned. "Just great! I'm getting more money in tips than I am in wages."
"What's the new job?" asked Shayla.
"I'm an exotic dancer at a gay bar," he grinned. "Loads of fun."
Trevor snorted. "Wouldn't catch me dead in one."
Wildwind grinned. "What about you, Shayla? Would you want to join the other boitoys?"
He was quick on his feet, which was all that save him from getting walloped by Shayla. "DON'T call me a boy!" she snapped.
Wildwind just chuckled, and went over to pester Trevor. "You know, my invitation to a date is still open.
Trevor raised an eyebrow. "You never give up, do you?" he asked, sourly.
"Hey, it wouldn't be me," laughed Wildwind, hopping up onto a stool, and batting his eyelashes, coyly. "Me, give up on a big, strong male like you. And a horse to boot! Murr!"
Trevor grumbled a bit and twitched, his mood helped not at all by the fact that the big polar bear wasn't even TRYING to keep the grin of his face.
"Look," said Trevor, "The only way you'll ever get me to date you is if all of a sudden you start wearing bra and panties. Got it?"
Wildwind was quiet. "I... got it," he said, sighing.
"Good."
He served Wildwind a salad, and some spring water. Wildwind was uncharacteristically quiet as he ate. Usually, he chattered up a storm.
After the mouse was finished, Trevor looked over. "Look, Wildwind. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
Wildwind grinned. "You didn't," he said. "I was just thinking. Maybe you'd like to meet my sister?"
"I didn't know you had a sister," said Trevor, intrigued.
"We're twins," Wildwind replied. "She's called Wildflower. You might like her."
"All right, sounds interesting," said Trevor.
Wildwind grinned. "Great. I think you'll really like her." He gave Trevor a kiss on the cheek, and was out the door before the horse could react.
"Your friend's quite the horn ball," said Shayla, watching him go.
Drey nodded. "It's part of his charm," he said. He looked at his watch. "Damn, I gotta go. Thanks for the meal!"
"Any time," said Trevor.
Drey wheeled out, humming to himself. Shayla hurried to catch up to him. "Okay, bear, spill," she said.
Drey looked at her, all innocence. "Spill what?"
"Trevor couldn't see you, but I could. You were looking smug as hell."
"You'll discover soon enough," he replied. "I am saying nothing. Just be sure to be here tomorrow."
The next day, Drey was back, wearing jeans and a muscle shirt. His clothes showed his powerful muscles.
"You should dress like that more, Drey," said Shayla with a grin.
Drey nodded slightly. "Heh... unfortunately, you can't glare down a boardroom full of idiot shareholders in this."
Shayla nodded. "So, where's Wildwind?" she asked.
"Wildwind's working a party today," the bear said.
"Does that mean his sister's not coming in?" asked Trevor.
"Oh, no, she'll be coming in pretty soon. I saw her, and she said she'd be here. She's just picking up a few things."
"Mm," said Trevor.
Before long, the door opened again, and in walked a female mouse with a striking resemblance to Wildwind Dandinson. She had a fashionable gold-and-pearl choker, thick bangles over her wrists, a floor-length dress with full-length sleeve and high neckline, and wore a delicate perfume of lilac at just the right strength. Her make-up was well done, which consisted of pink fur highlights, mascara, and lipstick. She came in, looking around, rather shyly.
Drey nodded. "Good to see you, Wildflower."
"Oh, hello Dreysanius," she said, her voice soft and gentle.
Trevor grinned at the sight. "Hey, there. I'm Trevor," he said.
"And I'm Wildflower Dandinson," she said, coming over to meet him.
Nearly a half-hour later, they were merrily chatting it up. Shayla smirked. "They seem to be getting along well," she said.
Drey nodded. "Yeah. Nice to see."
Where Wildwind was loud, Wildflower was quiet; where Wildwind was blatant, his sister was reserved; where he was in-your-face with his sexuality, she was demurely coy.
Before long, Trevor asked Wildflower out on a date, and she said she was available that night.
The cafe closed. Katrina and Shayla headed out, as Trevor and Wildflower went towards Trevor's car.
Katrina watched quietly. "That bear knows something," the reptile said.
"Yeah, but he won't talk," said Shayla. "He's got to be up to something!"
Trevor took her out for dinner and a movie. Wildflower proved to be an engaging conversationalist, and when the movie they chose turned out to be so much tripe, Trevor found himself nearly dying of laughter at her sweetly pointed remarks.
After the movie, Trevor started to kiss her, which she accepted. Slowly they embraced, and Trevor's hand brushed down her body. They spent several minutes passionately kissing and rubbing each other. Trevor, becoming a bit bolder, let his hand brush over her crotch.
That was when the horse got the shock of his life.
"So, how'd the date go?" asked Dreysanius.
"I don't want to talk about it," growled Trevor, wiping the counter hard.
"Aw, come on," said Shayla. "It couldn't have been that bad."
"I don't want to talk about it!" snapped Trevor.
Wildwind had been listening at the door, timing his arrival perfectly. "Hey, Wildflower thought it went great," he said, as Trevor involuntarily squeezed his cloth hard.
Dreysanius snickered, unable to keep a straight face any longer.
"All right," said Shayla. "What in hell is going on?"
"Shayla, it is simple," said Dreysanius. "The truth is, Wildwind has no sister. He's an only child. Secondly, Trevor made the mistake of saying 'bra and panties' to a master transvestite."
There was a stunned silence, and Wildwind smiled, walking to the bar with every nuance of 'Wildflower's' movement, then spoke in her voice. "I think he found our date kind of a drag," he said, patting Trevor's cheek.
The entire cafe exploded in laughter as Trevor grumbled something about cleaning a camera, and stomped downstairs.
